In the Buenos Aires suburb of Boulogne, in the San Isidro district, a home invasion occurred. Two criminals broke into the home of a 91-year-old retiree while she was sleeping. The perpetrators forced the patio's railing, entered the bedroom, and ransacked the entire place for about an hour. They tied the elderly woman's hands, gagged her, and turned everything upside down. According to the retiree's daughter, Viviana, who spoke to the press, the thieves stole jewelry, savings, and even her slippers (size 41). Fortunately, her mother managed to free her hands, remove the gag from her face, and call her daughter. By that time, the intruders were already inside and kicking the door. "Nothing stops them, unfortunately, it's not the first time this has happened," Viviana said with notable anguish. She added that they took the few savings she had. "We are waiting for the experts to come so we can sort things out," she added. She also noted that the incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. this Saturday and that the patio is on the opposite side of the bedroom, so the victim did not hear the railing being forced. The investigation is being handled by the San Isidro prosecutor's office in conjunction with the Buenos Aires Provincial Police, while experts have been summoned to secure the scene, collect traces, and analyze security cameras in the neighborhood that may show the criminals' entry and exit.
